“I’m thinking of the dad who finds out that next week, his wife will be working and he will be the one at home. Very inclusive - you haven't left out anything. I am especially pleased to see that there are lots of recipes, and shopping lists. Bullet points, charts and quick forms make this easy to read.” -Jim M., NM

“Comprehensive. I like the cleaning hints. This program would be useful for both Dads and Moms, whether they work outside the home or not. Many folks will be interested in this info. The budget forms would be very good for them, too.” -Beverly M., NM

“I have never seen anything like this! It has everything I need to raise my daughter on my own.” -Allen S., CA

“This just saved me a $600 trip to my lawyer. Every father needs this package.” -Aji B., NY

“The book overviews are my favorite part – it’s like reading ten books in an hour. I can’t even tell you how much time that just saved me!” -William B., MO

“I wish we’d had the baby potty training information when my son was born! A baby, going potty. No nasty diapers. That is just amazing!” -Lisa R., IL

“Being a parent of a special-needs child is chaos. This… this has given us back our sanity.” -Justin L., TX

“The Stay-At-Home Dad Survival Guides package is the best investment a dad could make. There are a couple of books out there for stay-at-home dads, but this is so much MORE than a book. It has forms I can fill out and print off, legal documents like a living will, it gives me dinner ideas for a whole year, has video clips, and I can even listen to the audio files instead of reading the articles, if I’m busy. This is great, man, really great.” -Joe T., CA

Welcome to SAHDSurvival.com.

“Where Dads go for Help.”

This site is for all dads, but has information for stay-at-home dads that they may not find elsewhere. Most parenting books and almost all parenting magazines are written for mothers.  Most sources of information (books, magazines, Web sites, etc.) seem to ignore fathers.  We are here to say, “Dads are parents, too!”  SAHDSurvival.com is not just for fathers who are at home with the children full-time – it’s for every dad: Stay-at-home Dads, Work-at-home Dads, and Work-outside-the-home Dads.

I am the father of three children, all special-needs kids.  For nearly seven years now, I have been changing diapers, making dinner, and getting up with them at night.  I have read and researched extensively over the years, and have spent the time needed to put together information packets for fathers who may need a hand (who doesn’t?).

On this site, you will find a lot of information available.  You will find free information on the site pages, updated frequently, and you will also find premium information products for sale.  We have a form below that you can use to sign up for free tips and get on our email list.  You will also find links to products we recommend (from other companies), and links to other Web sites that can provide more information in a specific area (such as the gluten-free, casein-free diet).

At SAHDsurvival.com, there is an atmosphere of triumph – you can handle it!  Whether “it” is trying to figure out just how to get a certain stain out of your daughter’s shirt, deciphering a recipe while you wash dishes, or taking care of a baby who’s spewing what looks to be pea soup, we’re here to help.
